What happens?
The chapter lists David's sons: six born in Hebron, four in Jerusalem by Bathshua, and nine more named, with Tamar as their sister. It then follows the kings from Solomon's son Rehoboam down to Josiah, and the sons of Josiah and of Jehoiakim. The last verses list the family of Jeconiah, the captive, down through Zerubbabel and onward.
Who is speaking?
The narrator lists the names. No one speaks in this chapter, and no verse is in gold. God's own words are printed in gold, and those verses are marked God speaks
