Exodus 26: The tabernacle, its curtains and boards, and the veil
A free study, verse by verse. Text: World English Bible. Notes come from the Hebrew. How to read a study
What happens?
Yahweh's instructions go on with the tabernacle itself: ten curtains of linen with cherubim, eleven curtains of goats' hair as a tent over it, coverings of rams' skins and sea cow hides, and upright acacia boards on silver sockets, held by bars. He tells Moses to hang a veil to separate the holy place from the most holy place, where the ark with the mercy seat goes, and to set the table and the lamp stand outside the veil. The chapter ends with a screen for the door of the Tent.
Who is speaking?
There is no story in this chapter. God's own words are in 37 of the 37 verses: Yahweh is still speaking to Moses, in the speech that began in Exodus 25:2. It goes on into chapter 27. God's own words are printed in gold, and those verses are marked God speaks

In plain English: "Make the tabernacle with ten curtains of fine twisted linen and of blue, purple, and scarlet, with cherubim. Make them with the work of a skilled workman.
